Dear friends, we are happy to invite you all to the next event of the School of Carols on Saturday, 17 December: “From Roman to Jordan” (from the day of St. Roman to the day of John the Baptist).
We will talk about carols, nativity scenes, the goat, and Malanka. How they traditionally set the table for Christmas Eve, what they cooked and what rituals they followed. We will explain and demonstrate how to make a Didukh and a star and what they symbolise.
We will taste Bohuslav bagels following an ancient recipe with uzvar drink. At the music masterclass given by the teachers of the Bohuslav Humanitarian and Vocational College named after Nechuy-Levytskyi, we will perform a carol that used to be sung in the region of Bohuslavshchyna.
