Chronicles of Obukhiv, 11.12.2023

The historical and cultural charity event “Christmas Fair. St Andrew’s Evenings” was held in Myronivka by volunteers from Bohuslav.

“The evening parties at the Myronivka Museum of Local Lore featured folk artists from the Bohuslav region,” reported the Bohuslav volunteer headquarters.

More details:

  • The Chornobryvets folk amateur song and dance ensemble performed a special show on St Andrew’s Day;
  • The musical palette of the event was complemented by the folklore ensemble of the Myronivka Centre for Children and Youth Creativity, which performed a carol;
  • Saxophonists Anton Puzatko (Bohuslav) and Nazar Hyrin (Myronivka) performed Christmas melodies.

During the evening festivities, they showed how to tie shawls, decorate gingerbread, taught how to do Petrykivka and Dybynets painting, make motanka dolls, Christmas decorations from felt, and make bead and rock crystal crafts,” the volunteers said.

The event raised UAH 8,624, which the organisers donated to the ‘Strong and Unbreakable’ charity fund to buy medical supplies used to save injured soldiers in frontline hospitals in the Donetsk region.
