A historical and cultural charity event “Christmas Fair. St Andrew’s Evenings”, co-organised by the Bohuslav Volunteer Centre was held in Myronivka. This was reported by the Bohuslav Volunteer Headquarters.

It is noted that at the evening parties in the Myronivka Museum of Local Lore, they showed how to tie shawls, decorate gingerbread, taught how to do Petrykivka and Dybynets painting, make motanka dolls, Christmas decorations from felt, and make bead and rock crystal crafts,” the volunteers said. Folk workshops from the Bohuslav region were widely represented at the event.

The traditions of St Andrew’s evening were also recreated here. The Chornobryvets folk song and dance ensemble performed a whole ethnic performance on St Andrew’s Day. The musical palette of the event was complemented by the folklore ensemble of the Myronivka Centre for Children and Youth Creativity, which performed a carol, and saxophonists Anton Puzatko (Bohuslav) and Nazar Hyrin (Myronivka) performed Christmas tunes.

The charity event raised UAH 8,624, which the organisers donated to the Strong and Unbreakable charity fund for the needs of frontline hospitals in the Donetsk region, namely for medical supplies used to rescue injured soldiers.
