From December 25 to January 20, the Museum of the History of Bohuslav Region hosted a charity exhibition “Christmas Miracle”. During the exhibition, we raised UAH 1,325. The funds were transferred to the Bohuslav Volunteer Headquarters to help the Ukrainian Army. Culture is our weapon!
We sincerely thank every person who visited the exhibition and contributed to bringing it to life. In particular, to the organizers: Olena and Yevhen Puzatko’s travel blog Family Travels in cooperation with the “Around Us. UA” NGO, the Bohuslav Volunteer Headquarters, and the Museum of the History of Bohuslav Region.
The exhibition was incredibly interesting and diverse due to the talented craftsmen of the Bohuslavshchyna. Each craftsman made a Christmas nativity scene in their own style and medium of folk art.
We express our sincere gratitude to the craftsmen!

We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the exhibition’s design and operation:
The talented and creative Yuliya Tsisarenko, the permanent designer of all charity events of the Bohuslav Volunteer Headquarters and the Pumpkin Fest in Kaidash festival, for the wonderful Christmas photo zone in the courtyard of the Museum of the History of Bohuslav Region, for the idea and implementation of an amazing installation – the Designer Reed Christmas Tree!
The Christmas tree in the museum yard became a symbolic volunteer tree. We decorated the tree with Christmas ornaments purchased from volunteer Kateryna Chavchenko, which were handmade by Sofiyka Starynets, an 8th-grade student. Many thanks, Sofiyka!
Kateryna Chavchenko used the proceeds from the sale of the decorations to help our military.
We are grateful to Mykola Datsenko and the employees of “Bohuslavblagoustriy” for their assistance in delivering furniture and banners for the exhibition and photo zones in the museum’s courtyard, and for helping to clean the courtyard after the event.
Many thanks to the director – Andrii Humeniuk, acting director – Nina Levchenko, and all employees of the Museum of the History of Bohuslav Region.
Special thanks for the pictures to Vitalii Nishchymenko.
We are grateful to the master Valentyna Tkach for the rugs and tablecloth provided for the exhibition.
We are grateful to our sponsors, the IT company BrainRocket, for their financial support and the opportunity to purchase materials for the exhibition and the photo zone in the museum’s courtyard.
We thank the volunteers: Yuliya Heiko, Andriy, Oksana and Levko Humeniuk, Victoria, Andriy and Artem Oliynyk, Olena and Yevhen Puzatko, Anastasia Rashchenko, Liubov Krapyva, Vitalii Nishchymenko, Olha Nishchymenko, Nataliia Kotivska.
At the opening of the exhibition on December 25, the charity event “Bohuslavska Kolyada” (“Bohuslav Carols”) was launched. Unfortunately, due to the constant power cuts and air raids, during which the museum was closed to visitors, the Christmas Miracle exhibition was not always available.
However, the fact that during the war the craftsmen found the strength to be creative and made incredible nativity scenes and didukhs, that volunteers, despite the circumstances and their busy schedule, decorated the exhibition and the museum yard, where the first tour of the exhibition took place in the twilight with the lights off, that visitors were able to reboot a little and feel the Christmas atmosphere – it was already a miracle!
So, the Christmas Miracle exhibition has become another symbol of the resilience of Ukrainians! We are standing firm and helping the army! Together we have raised 1325 UAH. This is our way of fighting for Victory!
