“When carols are no longer sung, the world will come to its end,” these words we heard from elderly people, the keepers of traditions, during our local history expeditions in Bohuslavshchyna. After all, Christmas is about Faith, New Joy, and the Life that always wins. And no matter how hard the enemies try to take away the most important thing that makes us ourselves, to take away our life and freedom, Ukraine and Ukrainians are standing strong and holding the line.
And this year’s Bohuslav Carol is exactly about these values. Soviets failed to destroy them, and their successors will not succeed either. That’s what we have collected from our elders to pass on to the youngest. We are very pleased that the memory of people has preserved traditions, customs, carols, and we were able to recreate it all and dedicate this to our defenders, who are protecting what is valuable to us all, sometimes at the highest cost of their lives.
Happy carolling, Merry Christmas, may God protect you, your families and our warriors, and give all of us the strength to overcome these challenges. We believe in the Victory of Ukraine!
With these carols from Bohuslav grandparents, we walked around the city and raised UAH 6,616 for our servicemen. Many thanks to you all for being active and generous!
