Chris Baldwin is a British theatre director, playwright, project manager, professor and writer. He is the author of a series of books on theatre and historical memory, as well as plays published in different languages. He introduced the well-known now approaches to “creative theatre” (Teatro de Creacion (TdC) and participatory drama: large-scale theatrical productions involving residents. Artistic Director of the opening and closing programmes of the European Capitals of Culture in many cities – Eleusis/Elefsina (Greece, 2023), Kaunas (Lithuania, 2022), Galway (Ireland, 2020), Wroclaw (Poland, 2016). He directed two large-scale productions that were included in the programme of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
