Charity Event “Christmas Evenings. Carolling Time”

On 16 December, Bohuslav city hosted a charity event “Christmas Evenings. Carolling Time” (“Christmas Vechornytsi. Koliada is Coming”), where people had a chance to learn about the Ukrainian customs of the Christmas and New Year season celebrations and join in raising funds for the needs of the Ukrainian military. The event was hospitably hosted by the Camelot restaurant in Bohuslav city.

The event featured a charity concert with performances by the amateur folk group Rozkopanchanochka, the “Vira” (Faith) teachers’ ensemble of the Bohuslav Humanitarian and Professional College named after I.S. Nechuy-Levytsky, the Kyivska Koliada folk band, accordionist Valentyn Drobiazko, saxophonist Anton Puzatko, and guitarist Vasyl Kryzhanivsky.

Craftsmen from Bohuslavshchyna presented their goods at the Christmas fair. The guests of the fair also enjoyed their creativity at various workshops: carols singing, shawl tying, basketry, Petrykivka and Dybynets decorating, beadwork, making motanka dolls and Christmas tree adornments. In addition, guests were welcome to taste local delicacies at the delightful Vechornytsi location, learn about sorcery traditions, and have their pictures taken with folk attributes of clothing at the “Koliada is Coming” photo zone. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the participants and our defenders!

Organised by “Around Us. UA” NGO and Bohuslav Volunteer Headquarters.
